Are you disturbing the peace by hitting baseballs in a batting cage on your property?

Disturbing the Peace requires you being on public property and doing something that alarms the general public. A batting cage on your own property does not qualify. There are unnecessary noise statutes but as long as you are doing it during the daylight hours-during reasonable hours-not too early, not too late-no violation.

Since you are in South Lake Charles, where youth baseball is huge, if the batting cage is not infringing on your neighbor's property, and you do not have 20 kids out there making noise at 2 in the morning, and the balls are not flying into their yard, it would seem to me that you are fine.l would need to know more details.
