Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Louisiana
At the end of a ten year parole sentence i owed 5500 in restitution i didn have it so i went to jail. Three days later without my knowledge my stepdad paid the debt. Three weeks later i was released ! Now ive recieved papers from my step dads lawyer suing me for 5500! Question is am i legally obligated to pay him eventhough i never asked him to pay the debt?

You would have had to make an agreement to pay him. If there was no offer and acceptance then there can be no agreement.
