Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Louisiana

I filed for divorce from my wife last July. She contested the divorce on grounds that an Act of Donation she signed over five years ago giving me full community property rights to our home and property is invalid. As a result of her contesting the validity of the Act of Donation, I have incurred defense legal fees totaling over $12,000. Last week the judge at our trial ruled the Act of Donation is valid and awarded me court costs. Can I take her to small claims court to recover a portion of the attorney fees I have incurred for my defense and, if so, what are my chances of receiving a ruling in my favor?

If the judge didn't award you attorneys' fees in the judgment you received-not likely you will recover it in small claims.
