Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Louisiana

me and my girlfriend broke up I've been trying to work things out with her for a year now and it's painfully obvious it's 110% over,in that timeframe she has changed the lease agreement on our apartment and has posession of all of my belongings and all of my furniture and my dog refuses to give me anything and the police said posession is 9/10 of the law... I don't know what to do now I have over 30,000 worth of belongings in the home

Write a list of your property in her possession. Consult with an attorney. Have a detailed conversation about the items on the list & how you acquired them. Gather receipts & credit card records of how you bought these items. $30,000 worth of merchanise is worth a few attorney's fees.
