Motion to Amend Answer

I am a defendant in a civil personal injury suit. I want to amend my Answer to include '' that the defendant has immunity under---------and the case should be dismissed. Do I have to file 2 separate Motions, one to amend the Answer and Motion to Dismiss? Does the judge have to rule on the first before I file the second? HELP!!!

You can file your amendment.

It sounds like you need a lawyer. If insurance is involved then the insurer should provide your lawyer.
