Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Louisiana
I have an ex Narcissistic boyfriend who just got his privilege to practice back a few months ago. He is on a 5 year probation period I think. In the meantime, he was put in jail for road rage. His boss asked me to go pick him up from jail in another town. I had to pay the $250 to get his car back. I had to let him go and he found another poor woman to prey on and I had to text him for months to get my money back. He sent it with a note saying if I contacted him again, he would call the police and have me arrested.(He likes to assert his power)When she realized he hadn't been honest with her she broke up and he tried to come back to me.When I rejected him in his dilusional mind he tried to tell me if I set him free I would find someone. When I texted him explaining he'd been let go,he started yelling at me in anAA meeting saying he was going to have mearrested. He sent me text apologizing and asking what he could do to make it right,I sent him website on NPD andtold him to learn about what causes him to be so mean.It starts with parents and comes from childhood issues.I'vebeen in recovery for15 years.I've got my masters as well as my national board certification and my +30 with most of those hours in counseling. He's threatened me again after he sent me a perverted text and I rejected him.Would this fall under the rule under ethical code of conduct that says a lawyer can'tthreaten to present criminal charges solely to obtain an advantage in a civil matter.
