Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Louisiana
My neighbors decided to asphalt our "driveway". Now they tell me I have to pay $1000 as my share. There was nothing wrong with the driveway before and I put up my share of the costs to keep it maintained with limestone and rock when needed. Am I obligated to pay $1000 dollars for something that I did not agree to?

If I did not agree to it, and if there are no superseding rules (eg. neighborhood association) I would advise them to sue me.
