should i pay?
I was test driving a friends new motorcycle when I LOST CONTROLL AND WRECKED. I was going a very moderate speed.He won't claim the $7500 on his insurance, but insists I pay cash.I offered to pay the deductible and any increase in his insurance.Still he refuses. What should I do?

You are still liable for the damages you caused whether he goes through his insurance company or not.
If he goes through the insurance company, they will just sue you for the money they paid.
Your liability is not limited to his insurance deductible.

I have a different take than Mr. Louque. When someone drives my car, they are covered under the insurance on the car unless excluded. They basically become me while driving my car as far as that policy is concerned. So, my opinion is if you are covered, the insurance should pay and cannot come after you. If you want, you can pay the deductible.
