Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Louisiana
I purchased a mobile home in my home town of Louisiana about 4 years ago and I rented out to a family member for about a year. The family member destroyed it. So I decided to sell the mobile home to this guy who fixes and resells mobile homes and has a trucking company he owns with his family. I live in VA so we did a lot of verbal communication but I did manage to get a promissary note. So, I let him take the mobile home off the land I was renting so he can start fixing it up to sell.I didn't give him the title. He was suppose to send me a certified check. That never happened. He finally send me a personal check that bounced. For 6 months I got the runner around. I decided to take him to small claims in Louisiana and he didn't show. I won the case and now how the I go about getting my money. He has fixed up the mobile home and is trying to sell it. Can he sell it without the title? I need to know what legal steps can I take to get my money.

With your judgment, you can seize assets including the repaired mobile home. You should get a Louisiana attorney in the parish where the judgment was obtained.
