Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Louisiana
I received a (101) Citation: ISS CIT AND PET; EXHIBET FROM THE 2ND PARISH COURT, PARISH OF JEFFERSON, STATE OF LOUISIANA.
Summoned to comply by making an appearance either by filling a pleading or otherwise in the court within 10 days. This is for a medical bill I owe to West Jefferson Medical Center. I dont have any money right now, what should I do?

You have been sued. You have 10 days from the date the sheriff served you to file an answer or other responsive pleading. If you fail to do so, you will be defaulted, which means the defendant will obtain a judgment against you and begin collection via garnishments, seizures, etc.
