My cousion was in jail for growing weed and the lawyer got him out at my aunts request and then she took a turn for the worse . And while I was takeing care of her and her business the lawyer gave him power of attorney .

The only person who can give a power of attorney is the person. The court can interdict someone unable to care for themselves or their affairs. Someone is appointed the persons caretaker by the judge in this proceeding.
