Selling beer to underage kids

My husband and I caught our daughter,who is 16, and her boyfriend, who is 16, buying beer at the local fina station.It was shown on video where the clerk did sell it to them.Police arrested both kids.My daughter has to go to court for possession of alchol.The store has to go to court for selling beer to them. Can we sue the store for selling them beer.The clerk did not i.d. them. We live in Louisiana.

Sue them for what? Isn't criminal liability enough?

Technically you can sue anyone for almost any reason. If you sue the store what damages do you expect to recover? It probably will not be worth the time and money.
