Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Louisiana

Hi im tring to find out how can the city council here in new orleans keep passing a temporay moratorium om alcohol lic,its been in place now for years since the storm how can they keep renewing the law when the city charter says 1year and a additional 180 days after?

The Council makes law. They are bound to follow the charter, but they make the law. My advice is to talk to your councilman first. Write a letter (certified mail) to your councilman and ask him or her that question. You can also go to a council meeting.
