Legal Question in Health Care Law in Louisiana
my husband is ordered to pay child support of 97.00 week, also judge told him he has to have medical insurance on his son. the child is on the medical card of louisiana. he currently has insurance with blue cross blue shield which is 98.00 week. we are in the process of trying to find some that is affordable, now they are saying it has to be the same coverage as his existing policy, e.i, deductables.or they won't except it. what is going on? if you would please shed some light on this situation for me. thank you.

You cannot get less insurance than that which insures the child presently. If there is a $20 deductible for doctor's visits, a new policy cannot ask for more.
