Legal Question in Immigration Law in Louisiana

I am a gay male American citizen and wish to marry a gay male Mexican national. I reside in Louisiana USA & he currently is in Veracruz, Mexico. What do we need to do to legally marry in both countries if possible and allow him to live legally in the USA.

The United States, for Immigration purposes, recognizes a same sex marriage, as long as it is valid in the place where the couple was married.

I suggest filing a fiance (K-1) visa for your spouse, so that he can come to the U.S., where you can get married in any State where it is legal to do so, and then he can file for Adjustment of Status.

Alternatively, if you get married in a State that recognizes same sex marriage in Mexico (there are a few), then you would have to petitoin your spouse for a greencard through Consular Processing and he would have to wait for his greencard interview in Mexico, so you would be separated for a while.
