Legal Question in Immigration Law in Louisiana
i am a permanent resident..will apply for US citizenship in June 2011( taking 3 months processing in my district) so will be US citizen in Sept,2011 hopefully
my wife is in India ( we got married in November 2010)
1) should i file petition now or wait for becoming US citizen??

You can file the I-130 now, but there may not be any real practical benefit to doing so. Her current employment and visa options may be a factor to consider, as well as future travel plans for both of you.
