Am I Out of Status?
I have an H1B1 visa that expires in the
summer of 2007, but I lost my job after
Hurricane Katrina. I am not working at the
moment. Am I out of status?

You are out of status the day you stopped working for your H-1B employer subject to any special rules that may exist to assist/protect Hurricane Katrina victims.
