It's difficult to know whether an application to adjust status has been filed based on your answer, but if you qualify for that, you should have (or still could) apply for employment authorization. If you don't qualify to adjust status, I hope you didn't apply, because if you did, you might find yourself in removal proceedings when you go to the interview. If your case is not ripe or approvable the way it is, being married to a citizen might help.If your spouse qualifies for US citizenship, applying could possibly help you.
