Legal Question in Insurance Law in Louisiana
Auto Accident
My son and his girlfriend, both are unlicensed drivers, were given permission by my son's friend to drive the friend's truck. The girlfriend actually drove and was in an accident. The truck did not have full coverage. The owner of the truck is suing myself and the girlfriend's family. Does he have the right to pursue this? My son was just a passenger but he says that permission was actually given to him.

Re: Auto Accident
You do not tell us how old your son is. Assuming he is 17 or under, then if he were given permission to drive and let another person drive, he and you might be responsible, but might no either. Just too few facts to make an intelligent quess at this time.
