Legal Question in Insurance Law in Louisiana
Auto Accident
My son was in an auto accident. The other person was at fault. I don't think the settlement that the insurance company has offered me is a fair cost. Their adjuster decided the cost. Do I have rights in this? Do I have to accept their offer? What can I do about it?

Re: Auto Accident
You do not have to accept what the insurance company offers. I suggest you seek an attorney's advice who handles accidents. He will need to see all medical records and the accident report as well as all medical bills and cost of repairing or replacing any damaged property. Any loss of wages are included. With that information and knowing the extend of your son's injuries and disability, if any, will assist counsel in putting a value on the claim.
