Legal Question in Insurance Law in Louisiana
Auto Theft Insurance Law
I had a vehicle stolen almost three months ago and it hasn't been recovered yet. My insurance company is investigateing my claim. Their resoning is because of a previous stolen vehicle over three years ago. They requested phone records and other information. We gave them what they requested for and they still wanted a deposition. After the 4 hour deposition and more than two weeks later, I received a letter requesting more personal information. What obligation does my insurance company have considering it has been almost three months? Is there a time frame where the claim has to be settled? Do I get an attorney or will they end up paying the claim?
