Legal Question in Insurance Law in Louisiana
I was in a car accident where the state trooper said that I was in the wrong. My insurance paid the other driver my policy limit which is $10,000...my question is can the other drivers insurance company sue me if I can not afford to pay the amount of damages over my policy limit (which the damages were $815.92)?

If the case was settled out of court (i.e., you did not go to trial), your insurance company would not have settled without obtaining a full release for both you and the insurance company. You should contact your insurer and get a copy of the release. It should release you from any further liability, as well as your insurer.
