Legal Question in Insurance Law in Louisiana
car crash
I hit a deer and had a serious neck injury. I was driving a pick-up truck that I own and have $1,000,000 of liability but it would not pay anything on my medical bills. Do I have any recourse?

Re: car crash
If the crash was in Louisiana, liability insurance does not cover your own injuries.
That would be covered by collision or comprehensive insurance. Many people who do not owe money on their vehicles choose not to have this coverage.
