Legal Question in Insurance Law in Louisiana
My Dad has 4 children and has been in a long term relationship (11 years) with a women who has 7 children. Both live in Louisiana. There is a life insurance policy on my Dad (may have been paid for by his girlfriend), listing her as beneficiary. Both were killed last week in a motorcycle crash. She died instantly and my Dad died either on the way to the hospital or in the hospital. Who is entitled to the death benefits? Me an my siblings or his girlfriends children?

If he outlived her, she could not inherit from him, so her kids should get nothing from his estate. In fact, if she had a will that left her estate to him, you and your siblings are likely the legal hiers of her estate too.
