Legal Question in Insurance Law in Louisiana
Totaled Value of Car
Driver hit wife from behind. His insurance co. wants to total wife's car. Probably is not fixable. Comparable replacement costs more than insurance company willing to give. Does wife have to accpet ''totaled'' bluebook value?

Re: Totaled Value of Car
All they owe is what the car is worth and one of the "blue books" is used. Replacement cost makes no difference. They will give you what it is worth less the salvage value and you keep the car if you think you can get more than the salvage value.
