Legal Question in Intellectual Property in Louisiana

I need a lawyer to work on contingency. I own half of a company that own trademarks. Those trademarks are being used by my partner as if he is sole owner. He also owes the company for products shipped to his distribution. He did not pay for the products and now is using the trademarks which are owned by the original company. He knows that without him paying, I will not be able to retain a lawyer, so i need to find one who is willing to work on contingency.

As a franchise attorney familiar with trademarks, all I can say is good luck. Trademark attorneys do not take cases on contingency. If you were injured in an automobile, different story - a ton of attorneys takes personal injury cases on contingency. Consult with a good trademark or franchise attorney in your area for specific advice.

Email me when you have a chance. While no attorney is going to take a trademark case on a contengency, I may be able to work out some sort of partial payment / contengency plan for you, whereby you pay some amount and all costs, with the lion's share on contengency. I would have to know a lot more about your case, though. Email me with more information.
