Legal Question in Intellectual Property in Louisiana
I recently worked for a sports photography company, traveling and taking pictures of soccer/baseball tournaments, editing the pictures and then selling posters of the pictures at the tournament. I had a verbal agreement (no paperwork was between us, not even a work for hire contract). I was supposed to be paid separately for taking the pictures and editing. The last two tournaments I did I was not paid in full. Since the pictures I took are legal personal property of myself, which he used without written permission from me, can I sue him for the rest of my pay?
