Legal Question in Juvenile Dependency in Louisiana
moving out of home at 17
My friend is 17 years old and is having problems at home. Can she move out of her house and move in with me legally with no paper work or does her mom have to release custody of her to move out on her own? And if legal measures are needed, what are they?

Technically it would require an emancipation by her parents. For a 17 year old a judge doesn't have to approve it. The parents would have to sign an affidavit.
