Legal Question in Employment Law in Louisiana
I was diagnosed with adhd, and my current condition has been effecting my work environment , over the years of my employment i have been written up more the 2 times for verbal /conduct saying things out of context.a huge part of my add is to blame.I have always had it, i even notified my manager that i could not help and try to explain i had no memory of what was said, and i did not remember the incident in question.Recently i went for help, and received documented medical notice to my employer of my disorder, and how sever it is .I recently requested that my write ups me reversed ,do to the fact i was not being treated for my disorder. and now i was and wanted to be redeemed and saw in a different light, According to my hr dept it was refused and no accommodations will be made for me .
one of the other accommodations i did request was if they can please move my desk to the other side of the office were i would be less distraction.again was told no accommodations will be made for me regardless of my mental disorder .
what should i do?
i feel defeated :(
also my employer is a major communications company they can afford to at least accommodate my request .
I believe there ignorance of my disorder is the reason they just do not give a damn.
and there are no 2nd chances .

I know many adults and children who have been diagnosed with ADHD, and ADD. While your question says that is your problem, you want to excuse certain of your actions that do not seem related to your diagnoses. I am not sure if you should get another opinion. I have never seen someone need to move locations to cope with those conditions.
