Legal Question in Employment Law in Louisiana
I was employed at a school and given an offer letter indicating that I would work 10 months (school year) but be paid for 12 months to include the summer at annual salary of approx. 72,000. At the end of the school year (the very last day) my employer said he was rescinding the initial job offer and not paying for the summer. When another staff person mentioned an attorney he changed his mind and offered additional pay for 1.5 months. I believe I should be paid for the entire summer as was implied in the offer letter and indicated during our last staff meeting. It should also be noted that I worked 9 months because I started the job after school had already begun. I also think that I am due health benefits, $1500 training stipend (I was told that I had to use it during the summer so that I wouldn't miss any work days) and 20 hours of personal leave time. Am I correct??

The agreement was in writing, both parties relied upon it and acted on it based on the employers offer-this should stand as a comtract and be enforceable as such.
