if an employee is released from the doctor to do indoor light duty work only and their normal job duty is not indoor and the employer is not will to allow the employe to do light duty work - is the employee required to take vacation or sick time until they are able to do their normal job - (illness was not work related)

Since the illness is not work-related, the employer can require that you take vacation or sick time until you can resume your assigned duties.
