Legal Question in Employment Law in Louisiana
I have a serious eye injury that required a prosthetic eye. I am having continued problems requiring doctor visits. My employer is saying that I might lose my full time status as an employee therefore losing my health benefits. Is this correct?

You do not say why the employer told you your full time status might be affected by your eye. Assuming the injury is not work related, and that you have to miss work because of numerous doctor's appointments, then your company's sick leave and annual/vacation leave policy is what you might need to use. Also, not knowing anything about where you work, how large a company it is, whether they receive any federal money to operate or have government contracts, makes a specific answer difficult.
