Legal Question in Employment Law in Louisiana
My father was terminated from his job and the empolyer put on the pink slip that he was termitated for suspision of theft. They had no proof and he has since been cleared, they still wont change the pink slip. Does he have a case?

He could sue under a theory of defamation and ask the Court for damages and for an order compelling the defendants to change the pink slip (as well as an order not to state to any prospective employer that he was suspected of theft). Falsely accusing someone of being a criminal is what is known as "defamation per se".
