Legal Question in Employment Law in Louisiana
I found out that while I was in the hospital and the bosses were out of the office other employees went through the personal files. They were upset that I was getting paid more than some of them. My file of course included information about my deductions and what insurance I carry and who is covered under my policy. Have my legal rights been violated? Do I have any recourse? The boss acts like there is nothing she can do. They went through comparing every ones check stubs from what I understand.

The employee file is the property of the company not the employee. It would be up to the company to purdue any action.
