Legal Question in Employment Law in Louisiana

Fsla

I am paid salary and meet most

exempt requirements of the executive section of the FLSA. Except for that I am frequently performing the duties of jobs I would normally manage because

in this business we are never fully

staffed and managers are required to make up the slack. I read that these duties shouldn't exceed 20% and for many managers it is more like 90%. Most of our managers are working 70+ hours a week. Should we be recieving some sort of extra compensation for our overtime?

Re: Fsla

I believe that you should. Although the employer will argue that your job title is what governs, and not your actual duties. Remember though, you will probably be risking your job if you press the issue.
