Legal Question in Employment Law in Louisiana

Hi,

I am currently unemployed and can't find any employment with a Bachelor's Degree. I was wondering if it was possible if I can collect Unemployment from the year of 1998? I left the company I worked for that year on good terms. I was just wondering overall how far back the law allows you to collect unemployment?

Thank you for your anticipated cooperation

Erica

Dear Erica,

Nobody ever received unemployment compensation

who did not first apply for it. Go apply, and see what

happens! If they deny you, they will at least give you

their reason(s) for doing so, and they will even advise

you of your right to appeal their decision. If you would

like to discuss this matter further, send me your name

and phone number, and I will call you and we can talk

about it and see what we can do to solve your problem.

Why no charge? I'll be glad to discuss that also with you

on the phone.

Looking forward to hearing back from you, I am

Hardy Parkerson, J.D.
