Legal Question in Employment Law in Louisiana

hostile

A physician where I'm employed frequently curses, yells at and berates nurses in front of patients, visitors, other employees. We've always just accepted this behavior for fear of losing our jobs if we said anything back to him. Administration, DON, etc are aware of his actions. Is this legal and if not, how can it be stopped?

Re: hostile

No one is required to work in a "hostile environment." Seek legal advise from an attorney versed in employment law to see if your particular situation rises to that level. Personal insults which cause physical and emotional damages may give rise to another course of action under a differ set of laws.
