Legal Question in Employment Law in Louisiana

i got hurt at work wenesday. mysuper visor tryed to talk me out of going to the er, i ensisted to go, so two hours later a representative picked me up and took me. they did not use workmans comp and said the company would pay for it. after my urinalysis and seeing a doctor that only exrayed my shoulder and not my back, i was sent home with one day of rest. the company wanted me to sit in the truck so that they wouldnt get incedent with lost time, but my release paper said i was to stay home thursday. so they then told me to tell the consultant that i worked in the office thursday and they would give me 8 hrs. i told them i would not lie. my back was killing me thursday night so i called the owner and said i needed more test on my back and need to file workmans comp. he said he was out of town and no one in the office to help me and become hostile, he said to call him sunday night and if i need to see a doctor that his attourny will pick the the doctor that i see. im affraid and fill i will be fired when this is over. what do i do.

You need to see a workers compensation attorney and a doctor. Doctor first. The doctor needs to determine what kind of work if any you need to do. You may go to your own doctor. Give your employer written notice of your injury-how and where it happened and symptoms. See an attorney.
