Legal Question in Employment Law in Louisiana

If I have major surgery and the doctor says I can go back to work ..but only light duty. Can the company refuse to let me do light duty and terminate me?

Louisiana is a right to fire state and if they choose to terminate they can but unless they have grounds for firing you should be able to collect unemployment.
