Legal Question in Employment Law in Louisiana

Myformer employer owes me money for work I did. He always said he's pay me but never did. I have a spreadsheet with each case I worked, the hours and name of the case and dollars earned. Now he's filed Chapter 7 i Louisian. CAn I get my money I earned?

You will need to file as a creditor with the bankruptcy court. If there are any assets, they will be sold by the bankruptcy trustee to pay creditors some portion of what is owed. Wage owed will be among the first creditors paid.

I believe one cannot bankrupt wages, but its been a while since I handled bankruptcies.
