Legal Question in Employment Law in Louisiana

obtaining retirement investment funds from past employer

Problem: Past employer will not assist in getting retirement funds invested while working for them. Requested disbursement of all invested simple retirement funds Nov 5, 2003-have received no info and company unwilling to give out info related to getting funds. What to do next? Do not know name of investment company-past employer will not provide. Was told (in Nov when requested disbursement of retirement funds) by past employer that I would not see funds until way after January 2004. How do I speed up this process or what can I do from here? What rights do I have in obtaining this moneyor where can I go to get info related to this problem. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

A am sorry I cannot remember the name, but there is a watchdog group that oversees this type of activity and will be of great help to you. Maybe try your local BBB to get that name.
