Legal Question in Employment Law in Louisiana
There were recently cases in which a judge ruled in favor of the employee when an employer fired five employees for posting negative comments about another co-worker on Facebook. My question is this:
Question - if this occurred iin an at-will employment state, where an employer doesn't have to have cause to fire an employee, would this case still have merit? Seems that the violation of federal civil rights would supersede the state employment law. Yes?
