Legal Question in Employment Law in Louisiana

i was recently let go and i had 28hrs of vacation time i did not get paid for..aren't they suppose to pay that as well

If part of your employment was you would "earn" so much vacation time as you worked, then you are entitled to it but must specifically ask for it to trigger Attorney's fees and penalties. So send them a demand by certified mail and/or hand a letter to them and get someone to sign for it, saying you demand your earned vacation time be paid immediately.
