Legal Question in Employment Law in Louisiana
I recently worked for an insurance company that told me in my interview that i would be provided with warm leads (which they had told me that every lead had been sent a letter in regaurd to the group ins available to them through their association). When you read the "script" it leads them to beleive that a letter was sent out. Half of the leads did not receive a letter. As well as the locations of half of the leads where in a dangerous areas. The company gives you the impression that you will be making $1000.00 a week if not more as long as you follow the protocal. But the thing is that the quality of the leads are not what they said they were going to be. They also don't tell you about charge backs from policy's that you write that are cancled. Is there anything i can do to get compensated $3000 which i think i'm entitled to?

You can sue for what is called "detrimental reliance". Essentially, the theory states that you can be compensated if someone induces you to act by making false promises and you rely on those false promises to your detriment. Given that the amount you are suing over is $3,000, you can bring the claim in City Court or a Justice of the Peace Court as a small claim. You don't need a lawyer to bring a small claim and the loser pays court costs. Good luck.
