Legal Question in Employment Law in Louisiana
I was terminated from a job I was at for 6 weeks. I was never allowed the time to acclimate to the new job. They say it was due to being arugmentative and lack of technical skills. The exit letter says it was due to non-compliance with code of coduct. I was never afforded the right to defend myself against the allegations even though the code of conduct rules say I am allowed to defend myself. Nor did I agree to the allegations. I never got to see the allegations. This was in Louisiana. I know it is a at-will state. but I thought that I had to be show the allegations or something. Is there anything I can do?

This is not a criminal case. They did not like your work and said goodbye. Why should they have to retain you if they did nothing wrong? And, why would you want to keep the job?
