Legal Question in Employment Law in Louisiana

unemployment Judicial Review

if you file for a judicial review and the employer's lawyer files a premlinary exception. stating I file for the judical review to late, is there any thing you can file to have the case heard on it merits, as far as dead lines, that the employer didn't met, Employer had 15 weeks before case was denied and then back dated. can't believe they had that long. First I had to supply records on my earnings, then my employer had 1 year to disagree with that, then I was drawing a check but they had a meeting where employer lied and said I violated company policy, I didn't have to pay the money back, but tried to appeal the first decision. To get my unemployment started back. I didn't know about the possibility of filing for the Judical Review. When to court without a lawyer, and the judge gave me 30 days to find an attorney. Is there really any point. Haven't I lost the case already?

Re: unemployment Judicial Review

You will not know if you lost unless an expert knows all the facts. While you are speaking with the expert, talk to them about your employer lying which caused you to lose your job. You may have a libel/slander damage suit against them.
