Legal Question in Employment Law in Louisiana
Vacation Pay Compensation
I resigned from my previous employer w/out notice, as a result my past employer did not pay me for all the vacation I had accrued.
Is this correct?

No, that is not right. There is no reqiurement in the law that you have to give notice when you resign. There is, however, a requirement that your employer pay all of your earned wages, including vacation, after you resign.

I agree with Mr. Demmons. Send a demand for the vacation pay...do it by certified mail or deliver it personally. Then if they fail to pay, you start accruing penalty wages, attorneys fees and court costs if you file suit.
