Vacation Pay

I recently get my job for better pay at another job. I earned a week's vacation pay and I never took it (I was scheduled to take my vacation). Am I entitled to get a paycheck under Louisiana law?

Yes - if you earned the vacation pay pursuant to the employer's policy, then you are entitled to be paid for it when you leave. If the employer doesn't pay, you may also be able to recover penalty wages and attorney's fees if you have to file suit to recover the vacation pay.
