Legal Question in Employment Law in Louisiana

I work as a server and I just received my 1st payroll check. My employer is charging all servers credit card fees for the total amount of credit card charges. Which amounts to $70 - $80 by-weekly. This is totally steeling!!! As a server we are responsible for the tip portion and would pay about $8 - $10. We've tried to bring this matter up with the owner at our weekly meeting and he did not show up! He's trying to find out who brought the subject up for this issue so he can fire them. I've tried to contact the labor board, but of course no one returns my call. Any direction for this matter will be greatly appreciated.

The best thing to do is quit. You can file a small claims suit for past due wages.
