Legal Question in Employment Law in Louisiana

I worked for one owner at two jobs. I gave my 2 weeks notice for both job then 2 days later she fired me becuase she hired someone else. Then I go to pick up my check the next monday and she took both my check for a credit account that i had at one the stores. Can she take both my checks without my permission for a credit accound i had at one of my jobs

I believe that if the credit account was set up like all other credit accounts at the business, you may have a claim for your wages. If, however, it was understood that you had to pay off any balance owing if your employment was ended, then the question is whether both checks could be used to pay off the balance.
